Unit Process Controller information

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A Unit Process Controller typically earns less than $10,000 a month without a degree, as this role usually requires specialized training or experience. High-paying jobs that can reach or exceed this salary without a degree often include skilled trades like commercial pilot, real estate broker, or sales manager, which rely on experience, certifications, or licensing rather than formal education.

What are some common challenges faced by Unit Process Controllers and how can they be addressed?

Unit Process Controllers often face challenges such as responding quickly to unexpected process deviations, maintaining equipment efficiency, and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols. They must monitor multiple systems simultaneously and troubleshoot issues under time pressure, which requires strong attention to detail and clear communication with maintenance and engineering teams. Staying up-to-date with process control technologies and participating in regular training can help controllers effectively manage these challenges and contribute to smooth plant operations.

Is QC a high paying job?

Quality Control (QC) roles can offer competitive salaries depending on industry, experience, and location. In some sectors like manufacturing or pharmaceuticals, QC positions may pay above average wages, especially for those with specialized skills or certifications. However, pay levels vary widely and are generally moderate compared to other technical or managerial roles.

The roles often overlap but differ in scope and responsibilities.

What are Unit Process Controllers?

Unit Process Controllers are professionals responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing specific stages or units within a manufacturing or industrial production process. They ensure that equipment and operations run efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards. Their tasks typically include adjusting system parameters, troubleshooting issues, and recording data to maintain product consistency and compliance with regulations. Unit Process Controllers often work in industries such as chemical manufacturing, water treatment, and food processing.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Unit Process Controller, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Unit Process Controller, you generally need a solid understanding of chemical or industrial processes, basic engineering principles, and a relevant technical diploma or degree. Familiarity with process control systems such as DCS (Distributed Control Systems), PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and safety protocols is typically required. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and effective communication are vital soft skills for monitoring operations and troubleshooting issues. These competencies ensure efficient, safe, and consistent production, minimizing downtime and maintaining quality standards.

How much does a process controller make?

The average salary for a unit process controller ranges from $50,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience, industry, and location. Entry-level positions may start lower, while experienced controllers with certifications can earn higher wages. The role often requires knowledge of process control systems and safety protocols.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Unit Process Controllers typically do not earn $2000 a day; such high daily rates are usually associated with specialized roles like senior executives, consultants, or contractors in industries such as oil and gas, finance, or consulting. These positions often require extensive experience, certifications, or working in high-demand environments with premium pay structures.

About the Opportunity
The remote SharePoint Administrator establishes and manages GAMA-1โ€™s centralized SharePoint governance and administration function in support of the Integrated Management System (IMS), including ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, ISO 27001, and CMMC Level 2 requirements in a remote work environment.

The SharePoint Administrator maintains a secure, standardized, and scalable SharePoint and Microsoft 365 GCC environment aligned with CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171, and ISO standards. This position enables and supports enterprise platform solutions but does not own business-unit processes, operational decisions, or department workflows. Success in this role includes supporting automation, maintaining a governed enterprise platform, and ensuring audit readiness and long-term scalability.

What You Will Do in This Role

The SharePoint Administrator will support enterprise SharePoint and Microsoft 365 operations by managing administration, governance, security, and solution delivery across business units, including configuration, automation, integrations, compliance alignment, and ongoing system support within a controlled GCC environment.

  • Participate in developing, collecting, and managing design requirements for SharePoint features
  • Lead collaboration sessions with Functional Departments (Finance, Contracts, BD, People Operations, Executive)
  • Manage testing, deployment, and rollout of SharePoint features and enhancements
  • Administer and maintain SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server environments
  • Configure and manage sites, site collections, libraries, content types, metadata, permissions, and access controls aligned with least privilege principles
  • Monitor system performance, uptime, usage, and storage
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide end-user support
  • Maintain SharePoint backup, retention, and recovery capabilities using approved Microsoft 365 and IT/MSP restoration practices
  • Support SharePoint-based automation, Power Apps forms, reporting, and business process solutions using approved Microsoft 365 tools, including Power Automate and Power BI where appropriate
  • Support SharePoint integration points with Teams, OneDrive, and other approved Microsoft 365 tools as part of SharePoint solution design
  • Maintain SharePoint governance, records practices, configurations, and audit-ready repositories aligned with GCC constraints, internal standards, compliance requirements, and documented data-handling procedures
  • Document system configurations, governance standards, and procedures
  • Enable and support business solutions without assuming ownership or operational responsibility for business-unit systems or processes

What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 5โ€“8+ years of SharePoint (Online or On-Prem) administration experience
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Expertise in SharePoint architecture, including sites, libraries, metadata, and content types
  • Strong knowledge of permissions and access control, including RBAC, inheritance, and security groups
  • Experience implementing governance standards such as naming conventions, taxonomy, and lifecycle management
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate (standard connectors), Power Apps (Canvas and SharePoint-integrated solutions), and Power BI reporting from SharePoint data sources
  • Strong understanding of document control, versioning, records management, access control, and least privilege principles
  • Experience managing multiple business-unit requests in a structured, governed environment
  • Demonstrated experience enforcing governance standards and managing competing priorities across business units

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within regulated or government cloud environments (GCC, GCC High, or similar)
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-171, or CMMC Level 2 frameworks
  • Experience with SharePoint migrations
  • Experience with PowerShell automation for SharePoint or Microsoft 365 administration
  • Understanding of data classification frameworks, including CUI, FCI, and internal data handling
  • Ability to design and implement solutions using approved Microsoft 365 GCC capabilities while minimizing reliance on premium connectors or third-party tools unless formally approved
  • Preferred certifications: Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102), Power Platform certification (e.g., PL-400 or equivalent), or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900)

Work authorization/security clearance requirements

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Work Environment

  • This work is normally completed in a remote environment.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's and client facilities.

Travel Required

  • No

Proficiency Requirement

  • The employee is expected to demonstrate proficiency in all essential job functions, tools, and processes related to this position within the first 90 days of employment. This includes acquiring a thorough understanding of job-specific responsibilities, systems, and workflows as outlined during onboarding and training.
