Field Technician III

Hiring Immediately Pay dependent on Experience; PAID WEEKLY!
Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00PM (Overtime Eligible)
Pay Dependent on experience, with a discretionary quarterly branch performance bonus

Required Skills & Experience
Sunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment or rental background required.
  • Proficient troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems required
  • Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains is required. 
  • Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $10,000+ in value.
  • Having mechanic experience working on industrial pumps, power equipment, and HVAC is a plus! 
  • Having a TWIC or Safety Council OSHA Basic Plus certification is preferred, will need to obtain if not held.
  • Basic computer knowledge for service work orders, parts ordering, and service related tasks.
  • Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating.
  • Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
  • Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals.
