Uplifted Horizon Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, utilizing telehealth technologies to reach and support clients from the comfort of their own homes. You will engage with clients through secure video conferencing platforms, ensuring confidentiality and safety while offering therapeutic interventions. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to understand clientsโ€™ specific emotional and psychological needs, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews to formulate accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients that incorporate evidence-based therapy modalities, addressing their unique goals and issues.
  • Provide varied therapeutic interventions including individual, group, and family therapy, utilizing therapeutic techniques suited to different client scenarios, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices.
  • Offer immediate crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute mental health episodes, demonstrating strong crisis management skills and sensitivity to client distress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to all ethical and legal standards to protect client confidentiality and ensure comprehensive care.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers to create an integrated approach to client care, ensuring that all aspects of a client's well-being are addressed.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatments, and community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse client population, including individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your role focuses on creating individualized therapeutic experiences that respect each clientโ€™s unique background and personal history. This approach not only addresses immediate mental health concerns but also promotes long-term emotional well-being.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid license as a Mental Health Therapist is required. Acceptable licenses include LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW.
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required; a Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in the same fields is preferred.
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills are critical for effectively understanding and addressing client needs.
  • At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a therapeutic setting is required.

Compensation and Benefits
