Pay: $18.00-$22.50 per hour

Location: 1001 East Delavan Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215

Job Summary

OSC Manufacturing and Equipment Services is Western New York’s Go-to Dealer for Construction Equipment Solutions. Serving Erie, Niagara, and Chautauqua counties, OSC offers expert service, custom fabrication, and major repairs—all under one roof. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will perform welding, fabrication, assembly, and repair work on a variety of metal components and structures in accordance with union standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. This position requires a strong commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or FluxCore welding as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
  • Operate welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, cutting torches, and related machinery.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with OSHA and union safety standards.
  • Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, foremen, and other tradespeople.
  • Complete assigned work within project schedules and quality expectations.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass welding tests and/or certifications required by the union or employer.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality work.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, cold, and noise.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
