Warehouse Forklift Operator

The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to load, unload, and move shipments within the warehouse. This role includes verifying shipment accuracy, organizing inventory, packaging products, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety procedures to support smooth warehouse operations.

  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load and unload products from delivery trucks and containers.
  • Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists and invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Organize, stack, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations to maintain order and optimize space.
  • Package and label products for shipment according to company standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including work areas and equipment.
  • Report any damaged or missing inventory to the Warehouse Manager promptly.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report mechanical issues as needed.
  • Assist with other warehouse tasks and duties as assigned by management.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proven experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklifts safely (preferred).
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment, often involving exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Requires frequent lifting, bending, walking, and standing.
