Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Palm Beach Gardens, FL that is seeking a Solutions Engineer - ETL Developer.
Overview:
The Solutions Engineer - ETL Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting business intelligence solutions, data warehouses, data integration processes, reporting platforms, and related technologies that support both customers and Sensitech's Professional Services organization.
This individual will work closely with business stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, prototyping, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Projects often involve integrating data from multiple systems, developing scalable data models, and delivering actionable reporting solutions within fast-paced environments.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in data engineering and business intelligence with a passion for problem-solving, innovation, and continuous learning. This role offers significant opportunities to leverage modern data technologies, cloud platforms, automation, and AI-driven solutions to address evolving customer needs.
In addition to building new solutions, this position supports and enhances existing data warehouses, ETL processes, system integrations, reports, dashboards, and SSIS packages through troubleshooting, optimization, and system upgrades.
Duties:
* Design, implement, and optimize conceptual, logical, and physical data models
* Develop dimensional models, star schemas, Data Vault models, and normalized (3NF) database structures
* Ensure data quality, integrity, and scalability across enterprise platforms
* Design, build, deploy, and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines
* Integrate data from internal and external sources using scalable and reliable processes
* Develop solutions that support both batch and near real-time data processing needs
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, Data Warehousing, or a related field
* Proven experience delivering end-to-end data integration and reporting solutions
* Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling techniques
* Experience designing fact and dimension tables for enterprise reporting environments
* Experience supporting modern cloud or traditional data warehouse platforms
* Experience deploying and supporting solutions within Microsoft Azure environments.
* Understanding of cloud-based data architectures and administration.
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
* Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve data pipeline and integration issues efficiently
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Advanced SQL development skills, including:
* Complex queries
* Dynamic SQL
* Stored procedures
* Query optimization and performance tuning
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT development tools, preferably:
* Azure Data Factory
* SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Experience developing:
* Power BI dashboards
* Power BI paginated reports
* Operational and analytical reporting solutions
Experience utilizing AI/ML solutions or Large Language Model (LLM) APIs to:
* Improve data quality
* Automate transformation processes
* Enhance predictive analytics and data modeling capabilities
Experience with:
* Microsoft SQL Server
* Advanced SQL Development
* Dynamic SQL
* Stored Procedures
* SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
* SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
