DEUBLIN - QC Inspector - 1st Shift
Your Mission
We are seeking a QC Inspector for 1st Shift. This position is responsible for inspecting products and component parts to ensure conformance to print/standards, verifying that gages used by Quality and provided to Production are properly calibrated and set up for use, and maintaining inspection records in accordance with established standards and procedures. This position reports to the Senior Quality Manager. This is a non-exempt position with a pay range of $19.87 to $26.89 per hour. Pay will be based on qualifications and experience.
How you will make a difference
  • Perform detailed inspections of production parts, purchased components, outside services, and final assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment and calibrated gages to verify product conformance and support manufacturing operations.
  • Review blueprints, workmanship standards, material specifications, procedures, and engineering changes to accurately perform inspections and document results.
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, routing, and status control of accepted, nonconforming, and rejected products.
  • Maintain inspection records, quality documentation, and nonconformance reports while communicating issues and requesting corrective actions when necessary.
  • Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes such as heat treating, plating, anodizing, coating, grinding, gun drilling, and welding.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Tool Room, and Production departments to resolve quality concerns.
  • Stop production when significant quality issues are identified and ensure adherence to established procedures, standardized work practices, quality requirements, and all applicable safety guidelines.

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing or quality-related experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram, or pictorial form.
