ABOUT THE ROLE
Trojan Battery Company is looking for a Finishing operator (1st shift) with a passion for quality excellence and commitment to product accuracy. You will work to ensure that the batteries we are providing for our clients are consistently being filled with the correct chemicals and washed and ready for transportation. You will work to stack, organize and wash all batteries and wrap them for shipping. The Finishing Operator will be committed to performing the role safely and have the ability to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). SHIFT
1st Shift 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
THE DAY-TO-DAY
  • Correctly file all possible corrective arc issues using proper tools.
  • Proper disposition of defective batteries to MRB.
  • Operate Hydrometer during disposition testing.
  • Stack batteries on pallet in configuration according to work order.
  • Operate Wrapping machine and identify malfunctions with the equipment.
  • Identify arc marks, banding and other defects on batteries, pull from conveyor and sent to repair.
  • Operator battery washing machine; check PH levels, replenish chemicals as needed.
  • Conduct HRD testing.
  • Determine which product parts and raw materials to use for various processes and packaging meets quality requirements and standards.
  • Assist in set up of automatic equipment.
  • Assist in the performance of PM on all equipment.
  • Understanding and complete all required QA reports.
  • Must be clean shaven
  • All employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site.
  • You must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma, GED, or greater required.
  • 0-6 months manufacturing/plant experience.
  • Forklift certification
  • Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
  • Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
