Essential Job Duties:
  • Operate an industrial sewing machine.
  • Thread needles, bobbins, guides, and tensioners correctly.
  • Position materials under the presser foot and align pieces before sewing.
  • Use the foot pedal to start, stop, and control speed.
  • Guide material under the needle using seams, guides, or markings.
  • Watch stitching and stop to fix any defects.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • Work well with teammates.
  • Read work instructions; use basic math.
  • Support overtime when needed.

Position Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
  • A good attitude and steady work habits
  • Willingness to learn sewing machines and other shop tools
  • Basic reading, writing, and math
  • Ability to pass a background check
Physical Requirements:
  • Sit and stand on and off for 8 to 10 hours
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Manual dexterity required for operating sewing machine and manipulating materials and thread
  • Able to visually see and read detailed drawings and measurements
