Mechanical Maintenance Technician: Delivering Quality Maintenance That Supports Student Success.
Lincoln Land Community College is searching for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain the college's facilities and equipment to perform preventive and operational maintenance. This position will also repair and install college mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.
As a facilities member at LLCC, you can look forward to 13 paid holidays a year and 2 personal days, 15 sick days, and starting with 10 vacation days per year. Staff can also enjoy free access to our on-campus fitness center. Uniforms, shoes, and equipment is provided by the college. Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Read and interpret blueprints as they relate to the mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems of the buildings.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license.
  • Two years experience in repair and installation of HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment, including hot water boilers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, water treatment and pneumatic and digital controls.
  • Possess Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check, drug-screen, physical, and functional capacity exam.

  • Push, pull or carry large or bulky objects/equipment.
  • Lift up to 100 lbs. to waist height and up to 30 lbs. from waist to overhead on a regular basis.
  • Stand for long periods of time.

  • Grip, hold and operate vibration producing power equipment.
  • Dexterity to bend, stoop and lift on a regular basis.
  • Frequent climbing (ex. ladders, stairs).
  • Ability to work within confined spaces.

Position Salary
Salary will be no less than $57,794 per year with an excellent benefits package.
