Description:

DPT Service is a regional, independent sales agency for premier HVAC/R equipment representing engineered products designed and customized to meet our customer’s specific needs. Headquartered in Urbandale, Iowa we are growing and looking for talented, dedicated people to join our Team.

Requirements:

In this role:

  • Promote goodwill with customers who own, purchase, or specify Data Power Technology Group (DPT) equipment and ensure their customer experience is positive
  • Assist Journeymen on jobsites
  • Assist in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance for DPT Customers
  • Maintain good working relationships with DPT Sales Engineers and customers through verbal and written correspondence

What to bring to the role:

  • Entry level knowledge of refrigeration, VRF, HVAC, and hydronic equipment, specifically in a commercial/industrial application
  • Ability to interact and cooperatively work with a variety of internal and external customers
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions
  • Meet schedules and timelines while maintaining routine records and reports
  • Routinely lift objects weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Customer service oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • Up to 10% travel

Licenses and other requirements:

  • Working Helper / Apprentice with a Local Plumbers and Steamfitters Union or willingness to join Local Hall
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass drug and background screenings
