Position: Senior Interior Designer, Union Office Interiors, Wilmington, MA

Summary: Union Office Interiors is a dynamic, fast paced, growing office furniture dealership and we are looking for a motivated designer to join our Wilmington, MA team. This is a highly interactive position. The right candidate will work in collaboration with the sales team, clients, Allsteel & other industry partners, & team members to lead the design process from development to installation.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Manage multiple projects across many business sectors
  • Produce fit plans, block plans, detailed floor plans, 2D/3D drawings, renderings and final installation drawings
  • Collaborate with sales to determine best product solutions and to create visual content for RFP/ bid package responses
  • Gather pricing and detailed specifications on systems and ancillary furniture
  • Apply for all product specials as the solution requires
  • Locate floor cores and tel/data ports on plan to properly coordinate with furniture
  • Attend client meetings, A&D meetings, proposal presentations and project meetings as requested
  • Assist with field dimensions as requested by the Project Manager
  • Review final product specifications to ensure accuracy of work, finishes and product application
  • Attend vendor presentations, product training and industry events

Requirements and Skills:

  • BS or BA in Interior Design from an accredited institution
  • 5+yrs of experience in the commercial furniture industry
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and CET. Experience in CAP 20/20, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Knowledge of building codes and ADA regulations
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans and other related technical drawings
  • Collaborative mindset, working seamlessly with sales, project management and customer service
  • Maintain excellent work ethic and team player mentality
  • Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
  • Creative problem solver with attention to detail
  • Valid drivers license
  • Hybrid role based in Wilmington, MA (mix of on-site and remote work)
