Entry-Level Laborer (Backstand Technician)
Starting Pay: $24.76/hr + $1.50/hr Shift Premium

Start Your Career in Manufacturing with Growth Opportunities!
Join a team-focused environment where safety and quality come first. As a Backstand Technician, you'll play a critical role in converting large paper roll stock into cut-size paper, preparing materials, operating machinery, and keeping your workspace clean and efficient. This is a growth-focused position. You'll be expected to advance to Material Handler within 6-9 months of your hire date.
Key Responsibilities
  • Roll stripping, prepping and loading.
  • Operate cutting or other hand tools and perform physical lifting safely.
  • Follow written or electronic operating procedures.
  • Maintain general housekeeping standards and basic maintenance duties.
  • Work safely and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Progression Opportunity - Material Handler (within 6-9 months):
New Rate: $25.90/hr + $1.50/hr Shift Premium
Additional Responsibilities
  • Material Handling- Follow transporting & stacking guidelines, Shipping & Receiving- Railcars & Trailers.
  • Operate Powered Industrial Trucks: Fork Truck, Clamp Truck, Dual Fork Truck, Bale Clamp Truck, and Aerial Work Platform.
  • Proper use of hoists, and dollies.
  • Load/unload trucks, laying rolls, move pallets and other heavy materials.
  • Complete daily safety inspections and maintain work areas.
  • Uphold standards in safety, quality, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical aptitude or previous industrial experience preferred.
  • Able to perform physical tasks and work 12-hour rotating shifts.
  • Basic skills in math, reading, writing, and computer use.
  • Team orientated with a strong commitment to Safety & Quality.
