How much do union journalism jobs pay per hour?
What is the difference between Union Journalism vs Freelance Journalism?
| Aspect | Union Journalism | Freelance Journalism |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Typically requires a journalism degree and union membership | Requires journalism skills; no union requirement |
| Work Environment | Employed by a media organization with union protections | Self-employed, working on individual contracts |
| Employer & Industry Usage | Common in large media outlets with unionized staff | Used across various outlets, independent projects |
| Work Stability & Benefits | Higher stability, health benefits, collective bargaining | Variable income, no benefits unless self-arranged |
