Job description

Dymentum Health is seeking three Board Certified Physicians to provide services to the Milwaukee VAMC
  1. (5) full-time Board Certified / Board Eligible Physicians in Internal Medicine or Family Practice Professional Services in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the VA. The contractor shall provide two (2) physicians who may be scheduled between the Milwaukee VAMC, 5000 W. National Avenue, Milwaukee, WI, 53295 and the Union Grove Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), 21425 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI 53182.
    The contractor shall provide three (3) physicians who may be scheduled between the Northeast Wisconsin Ambulatory Clinics (NEWAC) locations: Appleton Community Based Outpatient Clinic, 10 Tri-Park Way, Appleton, WI 54914; Cleveland Community Based Outpatient Clinic, 1205 North Avenue, Cleveland, WI 53015; and the Green Bay Health Care Center, 2851 University Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54311.
  2. The period of performance shall be for a base period of one year with three (3) one-year options to be exercised at the Government's discretion.
  3. As listed below, the contractor shall submit with its offer the following documents:
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)/Resume of the proposed service provider(s)
  • Copy of all current licenses/certifications of proposed service provider(s) and competency checklists
  • Three work related references for the provider(s)
  • Evidence of Malpractice Insurance
  • Information on malpractice claims, termination or suspension of privileges
    The candidates shall be qualified and experienced Board-Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice or in Internal Medicine Physicians who must be licensed in at least one state of the United States of America. .

These do require overtime. No On-Call or Weekend coverage is required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Shall be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Board Certified Physician. (must be able to provide verification of credentials and proof of malpractice insurance).
  • Experience practicing General Medicine.
  • Ability to begin work as soon as possible.

Scheduling Details:
  • The contractor shall provide an estimated five (5) days of work per week. Each day will consist of eight (8), one (1) hour sessions, with a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch break. A session is defined as one (1) hour. Specific days/hours will be subject to the agreement of the Health Services
    Administrator (HSA), however, services will normally be performed Monday through Friday (specific working days negotiated), excluding Federal Holidays, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for an estimated total of forty (40) hours per week. .

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Take medical histories, examine patients, and order/interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests and x - rays.
  • Make a diagnosis, provide treatment plans and prescribe medications.\
  • Clinically manage injuries by suturing, splinting, and immobilizing.
  • Attend to medical emergencies.
  • Document in the Bureau's Electronic Medical Record (BEMR on each inmate the same day that the inmate is evaluated.
  • Record progress notes, recommend clinically necessary outside consultations, instruct/counsel and order or carry out therapy.
  • Emergency consultation to be performed by the Physicians in instances where deemed necessary.
  • Minor surgeries utilizing local anesthesia may be performed during consultation visits.
  • Call outside hospitals to document the status of our inmates admitted to various hospitals as determined by the Clinical Director or his designee.
  • Conduct 14 day chronic care clinic (CCC) assessment and conduct the CCC's to ensure compliance with AAAHC, ACA, and Program Review guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with the staff physician(s), consulting physician(s) in planning, instituting, evaluating and revising program plans; assists in determining conditions, resources and policies essential to delivery of the health care services and discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems.
  • Manage the daily operation of the CCC clinic and may be required to conducts sick call, which may include securing health histories from the patient, recording findings and providing clinical evaluations.
  • Provide a wide range of emergency services, including primary care for trauma and life - saving procedures.
