Job description

Looking for a Superintendent role where you're trusted to run the job-not just follow a schedule?

At McGrath, our Superintendents lead from the front. You're the one setting the tone on-site-driving safety, quality, and production while building strong relationships with crews and clients.

We're a 100% employee-owned construction manager and general contractor with a strong backlog of industrial, pharmaceutical, and commercial work-and we're growing.

What you'll actually be doing:

  • Leading day-to-day field operations on active construction projects
  • Managing subcontractors, crews, and jobsite coordination
  • Driving project schedules and holding teams accountable
  • Ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on-site
  • Coordinating with Project Managers to keep projects on track
  • Building strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and trade partners

Why Superintendents choose McGrath:

  • You're trusted to lead - not micromanaged from the office
  • Employee-owned - your work directly impacts your future
  • Strong project pipeline - steady, meaningful work
  • Team-focused culture - PMs and field actually work together
  • A company built on integrity, accountability, and doing things right

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience leading construction projects in the field
  • Strong knowledge of plans, specifications, and all major trades (MEP included)
  • Ability to manage schedules, sequencing, and jobsite logistics
  • Leadership mindset-someone crews respect and want to work for
  • Strong communication with both field teams and clients
  • OSHA 30 certification

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, or healthcare construction
  • Background in self-perform work (concrete, civil, etc.)
  • Experience with scheduling software

What you get:

  • Professional or Union position (Carpenters or Laborers)
  • Company vehicle (based on eligibility) and technology
  • Paid time off + holidays
  • Long-term, stable work with a respected contractor
  • A place where your experience and leadership actually matter

If you're a Superintendent who:

  • Takes pride in running a clean, safe, and efficient jobsite
  • Wants to work with a team that respects field leadership
  • Is looking for long-term stability-not constant turnover

We'd like to talk.
