Overview

Compensation: $28.00 - $38.00 hourly based on experience and credentials Location Type: RemotePosition Type: Full TimeSchedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM 

The Business Services Specialist provides personalized service to current and potential business and commercial deposit members who are seeking and maintaining share accounts at the credit union. Key responsibilities include providing phone, online, and administrative support to frontline staff and other back-office areas. This individual also provides the business credit team, business development team, and business lending team with support to make the onboarding process smooth for their clients/members.

Responsibilities

Communicate with business members who have business loan relationships to encourage them to maintain business deposit relationships with the credit union. Collaborate with business development officers and business lending experts to cultivate member relationships and ensure business member requests are fulfilled promptly Communicate daily with front office staff regarding business deposits and address any questions related to these services Provide administrative support to business lending experts relating to managing business deposits and Business Partner groups Assist the business credit, lending, and development teams in monitoring system controls for deposit accounts to ensure compliance with CIP, CDD, and Beneficial Ownership requirements Assist with the development of written procedures for new and existing programs Communicate new and/or changed procedures for business deposit services to staff Assist with the development of branch training materials and assist with employee training and branch visits Assist with the development and enhancements of business products and services Collaborate with the Manager of Business Deposits, Director of Commercial Treasury and Deposits, and Marketing Department to develop appropriate marketing materials Provide phone support for the entire Business Services Division Maintain Business Services intranet pages and assist with the maintenance and enhancement of business services content on the credit union internet site Update forms and disclosures to comply with Truth in Savings Act Review and verify business members' supporting documentation for branch and online applications for opening business and commercial accounts Review applications for business and commercial accounts via digital channel and communicate with potential business members on what is needed to open a business account Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees' role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in business deposits and business lending with a financial institution is preferred
  • Experience managing projects preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
  • Ability to analyze and resolve difficult and often complex problems or situations
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties
