SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Penn State Health Lime Spring Clinic is located in iconic Lancaster, PA! Acting primarily as a general medicine office with Orthopedics, Endocrinology, and Infectious Diseases as featured sub-specialties, the Lime Spring Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the team. This clinic sees an average of 300 patients/day. The hired Medical Assistant will be expected to fulfill their regular work schedule as well as work one late evening/week and complete a Saturday rotation once a month. The Medical Assistant will be expected to room patients, execute Point-of-Care tests, perform EKGs, and perform phlebotomy. The MA will also be administering vaccines/medications and setting up for in-house procedures. Clerically, the MA will chart prep, refill prescriptions, and restock the patient rooms and labs. The ideal Medical Assistant will demonstrate strong customer service skills and display reliability and consistency in their work. Interested? Apply Now!
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Previous outpatient experience preferred.
