Job Summary: FindTalent is seeking skilled and motivated Traveling Journeyman Linemen for exciting opportunities with a leading construction company specializing in electrical infrastructure. This role involves extensive travel across various states, working on large-scale utility projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transmission, distribution, and substation work, with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair high-voltage transmission and distribution lines.
Climb poles and operate aerial lift devices to inspect and repair power lines.
Perform hot line work, including rubber glove and hot stick techniques.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
Troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
Ensure all work complies with OSHA, ANSI, and company safety standards.
Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and line trucks.
Participate in job site safety meetings and adhere to all safety protocols.
Requirements:
Journeyman Lineman Certification (completion of a recognized apprenticeship program).
Ability to travel extensively and work in varying weather conditions.
Proficiency in climbing poles and working at heights.
Experience in energized and de-energized line work.
