Ultrasound Technician - Part Time

UHP's best-in-class clinical program covers three sub-specialties (urology, gastroenterology, and radiation oncology) and offers numerous ancillary services, including pathology lab, in-office dispensing, and chronic care management. We are led by a highly accomplished management team and provide a full suite of management services to its affiliated practices. UHP is currently affiliated with 154 providers consisting of 110 physicians and 44 advanced practice providers operating out of 50 locations across Southern, Central, and Northern California.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Ultrasound Technologist will perform and interpret urological ultrasounds through the Greater LA division's offices. This is a traveling position.
What you will be doing
  • Operation of ultrasound equipment to capture optimal images for various urologic ultrasound exams which include abdominal, renal, pelvic, scrotal, TRUS ultrasounds.
  • Evaluate ultrasound exam results to identify expected and unexpected outcomes given the procedure plan as well as whether appropriate test guidelines and protocols were followed
  • Report and summarize technical inferences and clinical findings
  • Helping patients prepare for the procedure by explaining the process, helping them to move to the table, and preparing the skin surface by applying gel before using the equipment
  • Communicate effectively with the patient and maintain his/her comfort level during the examination
What you will bring to the team
  • Must have at least 2 years of Ultrasound experience, urology experience preferred
  • Must be comfortable with various ultrasound machines
  • ARDMS AB certification is Required.
  • Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed
  • Ability to evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the physician
