POSITION SUMMARY:

The Uniform Services Attendant assists the Uniform Services Lead, Supervisor and Manager in the effective operation of the WPR Uniform Services, Retail and Laundry.This is a winter seasonal position that is 32 hours weekly. Schedule will either be a 5 day or 4-day work week or a mix of both based on operational needs. Comes with a locker, personal storage space and ski/ride breaks when possible.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly range: $19-$21

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Uniforms: Knowing all aspects about Uniforms; what is issued to resort work groups, grouping, and organizing uniforms, end of season uniform laundry, counting uniform inventory, loss prevention, prepping uniform donations, mending, and making sure all hanging inventory is suitable for issuing. Ensures security of Uniform Services Department and protects it assets. Keeping Uniform area neat clean and tidy; includes but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping down surfaces.

Uniform Data: Position is required to input correct detailed data into our computer system, checking for accuracy, based off issuing 1000 plus employees in the winter season and 700 plus employees in the summer season.

Retail and Inventory: Uniform Attendant is responsible for knowing point of sales system used, proper money handling, ordering, receiving, and shipping, organizing, and maintaining merchandise, tracking retail inventory and loss prevention.

Laundry and Supplies: Attendant will need to know all aspects of laundry operations, tracking laundry loads, washing, drying and properly folding laundry for various departments, wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining a neat clean and tidy area. Have knowledge of our washers and dryer how to troubleshoot, maintain and report to Lead/Supervisor/Manager of any servicing or supply needs. Ensures all safety aspects are being followed.

Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities for Uniform Attendant position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position does have physical demands

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors- temperature is moderate and controlled by environmental systems.

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to an average shift of 8 hours.

  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach different floors of the building on a timely basis.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.

  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.

  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.

  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment and products.

  • Able to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to non-slip shoes, protective eye wear, and protective gloves.

  • Must be able to climb stair ladders.

  • Must be able to lift, move and unpack large quantities of boxes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSING:

High school graduate or above. Guest service, retail experience, computer skills a must, sewing skills helpful.

Pleasant atmosphere in a warehouse that stores uniforms, retail items and has a commercial laundry area. The warehouse is well lit with a break area.
