Job description

Uniform Security Officer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. At this location, Officers are stationed at a local bus station interacting with patrons, conducting foot patrols of the premises, monitoring CCTV, and enforcing company and client procedures as well as being first response to any medical incidents on site.

SUCCESS as a Security Officer at DK Security will look like:

  • Reliability - Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.
  • Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.
  • Following Company and Client Policies - Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
  • Use of De-escalation Techniques - Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.

CURRENT OPENING:

  • Full Time: Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday 0900 – 1730 Weds 1100 to 1930

PERKS:

  • Pay Rate: $17.36
  • Benefits (eligibility requirements apply): medical, dental, vision, life insurance, group accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, identity theft protection, and paid medical leave.

LOCATION: Ypsilanti, MI

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
  • Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
  • Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
    • Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
    • Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
    • No other major violations in the last 3 years.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
    • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
    • Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
