Description

Lake Ridge Bank is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Mortgage Loan Officer to join our dynamic team at our Mount Horeb Office. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping clients achieve their homeownership dreams while contributing to the growth of our bank.

  • Origination of 1-4 Family Residential first mortgages
  • Guide customers through the mortgage process from origination to closing
  • Maintain acute skill levels pertaining to rules and regulations, technology, and trends and developments related to the real estate lending industry.
  • Solicit, develop and maintain external relationships (Realtors, builders, corporate customers, etc.) to ensure an ongoing referral source of business.
  • Develop an internal referral network with Retail Staff, Commercial Lenders, Trust Officers and other staff members to identify potential mortgage candidates. This internal partnership will also focus on the opportunity to cross-sell additional bank products and services to our mortgage clients.
  • Join and maintain membership with professional associations, networking groups, etc.
  • Attend or work appropriate trade shows
  • Participate and lead discussion on mortgage market in branch office meetings
  • Participate in Mortgage Department and Loan Committee meetings.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will be relationship focused with the drive for success. In addition, successful candidates must also possess:

  • Must be able to comply with SAFE Act requirements
  • Associates degree in related field and/or previous work experience in similar setting
  • Three or more years of previous first mortgage loan origination experience.
  • Thorough working knowledge of underwriting requirements for secondary market investors, private mortgage insurance, and internal loan policy.
  • Firm comprehension of loan documents and required disclosures and regulations involving Truth-In-Lending, RESPA, etc.
  • Familiarity with mortgage origination software and electronic underwriting process. This may be accomplished through on the job training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact and communicate with a diverse group of customers.
  • Responsive to customer calls and inquiries.

This is a full time role between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday onsite at our Mount Horeb office.
