Coastal Pipeline Inc is seeking an experienced and safety focused Pipe Foreman Site Supervisor to lead and oversee underground utility construction projects. Serving Broward and Palm Beach counties since 1964, our family owned and operated firm brings over three generations and 120 combined years of estimating and field supervision expertise to every jobsite.
This role is ideal for a proven, autonomous field leader with deep technical expertise in underground utilities, heavy equipment operation, and crew management. You will serve as the absolute on site authority, supervising daily operations, maintaining safety compliance, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- On Site Field Command: Lead and supervise field crews on complex underground utility projects, driving productivity across sanitary sewer, water main, storm drainage, fire line, and dewatering installations.
- Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery, including excavators and front end loaders, while transporting project trailers and equipment as needed.
- Grade Engineering and Plans Interpretation: Read and interpret complex construction plans, blueprints, and plan profiles; set up laser beams and levels for exact grades, and accurately log physical progress in field books.
- Unyielding Safety and OSHA Stewardship: Maintain strict OSHA compliance on site, taking direct responsibility for mandatory trench safety parameters and confined space requirements.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate effectively and professionally with project inspectors, general contractors, and internal team members to maintain schedule alignment.
- Logistics and Inventory Control: Track and maintain active on site material inventory to eliminate downtime.
- Field Administration Metrics: Keep accurate daily records and workforce timesheets, while conducting and documenting mandatory weekly safety meetings.
- Asset Maintenance: Oversee the proper maintenance, inspection, and cleanliness of company trucks and field construction equipment such as saws and compactors.
- Culture Stewardship: Promote a culture of reliability, professionalism, positive attitude, and safety at all times.
What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
Required
- Underground Utility Tenure: 8 plus years of dedicated, professional experience in underground utility construction.
- Machinery Mastery: Proven proficiency in operating excavators, loaders, and related heavy earthmoving equipment.
- Advanced Grading Fluency: Strong ability to read civil construction plans and set up precise grades using laser levels.
- Safety Credentialing: Valid OSHA certifications for trench safety and confined space requirements are strictly required.
- Leadership and Organization: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and oversee field crews.
- Logistics Infrastructure: Valid Driver's License with a clean, insurable driving history.
