Field Laborer / Pipe Layer

Company Overview:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Field Laborer / Pipe Layer to join our crew. This position involves assisting with the installation of underground utilities including water, sewer, and storm systems. The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installation of underground pipe (water, sewer, storm)
  • Set pipe grade using lasers and grade rods
  • Work in trenches and around heavy equipment safely
  • Load/unload materials and tools
  • Assist equipment operators and foremen as needed
  • Perform general labor duties such as shoveling, grading, and site cleanup
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in excavation, underground utilities, or construction preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor daily
  • Valid drivers license preferred
  • Knowledge of grades, trench safety, and pipe installation is a plus
