Your Role

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman to lead crews installing underground utilities on site-development projects. This position is responsible for overseeing the installation of storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water systems while maintaining proper line, grade, safety, quality, and production standards.

The ideal candidate is an experienced field leader who can read and interpret utility plans, coordinate crews and equipment, troubleshoot field conditions, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of pipe crews.

  • Read and interpret utility plans, profiles, elevations, blueprints, and grade stakes.

  • Oversee the installation of storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water pipe and structures.

  • Maintain proper line, grade, and elevations using pipe lasers, lasers, and/or GPS equipment.

  • Coordinate daily work with equipment operators, inspectors, surveyors, subcontractors, and the Superintendent.

  • Ensure proper trenching, bedding, backfill, and compaction practices.

  • Monitor crew productivity, materials, equipment, and overall job progress.

  • Ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements.

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety policies, including safe trenching practices.

  • Identify and troubleshoot field issues and provide practical solutions.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and productive jobsite.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of underground utility construction experience, preferably in a foreman or lead role.

  • Strong experience installing storm water, sanitary sewer, and water systems.

  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, utility profiles, elevations, and grade stakes.

  • Experience using a pipe laser and/or GPS/laser grading equipment.

  • Strong understanding of trench safety, bedding, backfill, and compaction.

  • Ability to lead crews and coordinate effectively with project personnel, inspectors, surveyors, and equipment operators.

  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Equipment operation experience, including excavators and loaders, is preferred.

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.

  • Valid driver's license required; CDL is preferred.
