Job description

CB Mining is an independent family-owned corporation that is growing. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Washington, PA, CB Mining focuses on product support for Longwall mines. Established from part of the Caterpillar mining group, CB Mining has grown from 2 locations in Washington, PA to now 4 locations, with additions in Marion, IL and Tuscaloosa, AL, We provide customers with rebuild services, CST gearbox rebuilds, welding and fabrications services, service exchange units, custom made cabling solutions, life cycle services including oil sampling and vibration analysis, robust inventory support, compatibility services and underground technical support. We also provide extensive machining, chroming, laser cladding, and hydraulic repairs through our valued partner Cleveland Brothers. Position Summary:
This position focuses on providing underground customer support, technical issue resolution, training and support to customers. This position also in the liaison between the customer and CB Mining, promoting and fostering the use of our products and services.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all underground mining equipment
  • Diagnose a range on complex equipment problems in underground environments
  • Safe and compliant performance, in line with company's and customers health and safety guidelines
  • Responsible for developing and managing relationships with customers, employees, salesmen and various departments throughout CB Mining
  • Provide seamless communication to both external and internal customers
  • Grow aftermarket product support business in the region
  • Available24/7 for customer call outs and / or emergency needs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by manager

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
  • Experience with the installation, operation, troubleshooting, programming, and maintenance of the PMC-R, PMC-D, PMC-V, PMC-S control systems
  • Experience with the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of room and pillar equipment
  • Able to physically and emotionally work in an underground environment
  • Must be able to walk long distances on uneven surfaces in underground environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work independently, with analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain and valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
  • Timely completions of all post job and administrative duties including but not limited to service reports, time sheets, failure reports, debriefing reports, tooling and equipment tracking
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes
  • Solid computer skills with a working knowledge of DBS, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Available 24/7 to support customer and industry requirements
  • CPR / First Aid Trained or willing to be trained and certified
  • MSHA underground certified
  • A get it done attitude
