Job description

Undergraduate Research Lab Assistant-Chelmo

Salary/Position Classification
  • $20.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 10-20 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work on campus in Upson I 105b.
  • Utilize acoustic levitation to produce atmospheric ice crystals.
  • Improve existing instruments to release the ice crystals into a shock tube to explore various aerodynamic conditions.
  • Report to Dr. Chelmo, follow all lab safety rules, and exhibit professional conduct.
Minimum Requirements
  • Having satisfactorily completed ME 306, ME 341, and ME 474.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
