The UMKC School of Dentistry, founded in 1881, is the only public dental school in Missouri and Kansas, offering eight fully accredited programs, including advanced education in general dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, and orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Located on UMKC's Health Sciences Campus alongside the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing and Health Studies, the School provides outstanding education, extensive hands-on clinical training, and real-world community service. Each year, students and faculty deliver care to more than 56,000 patients, while shaping the future of oral health through innovation in teaching, research, and clinical practice.

Job Description
The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry is seeking a Dental Hygienist to fill the position of Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor in the Periodontics Department. This is a ranked non-tenure track faculty position.
The department is responsible for pre-doctoral and dental specialty students, patient care, and service in periodontics. Specific responsibilities of this position include pre-doctoral classroom and clinical instruction in periodontics. Experience teaching in a didactic and/or clinical environment is an advantage.

Qualifications
  • Candidates are required to have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Dental Hygiene or a related field.
  • Applicants must be eligible for and obtain the appropriate Missouri Dental Hygiene License prior to starting their employment. For more information about licensing, see https://pr.mo.gov/ .
Anticipated Hiring Range
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications, experience and evidence of success in externally funded research. This is a 12-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointment eligible for ranked promotion.
