Job description

Job Overview Universal Music Group (UMG) is the world's leading music company. This role supports the UMG West Coast Labels vendor payment processes and vendor setup for the Marketing departments. You will work closely with the Marketing teams to manage budgets and vendor relationships across two labels and their subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

Create and manage purchase orders and issue vendor payments on behalf of Marketing departments. Set up and maintain vendor information in Uniport, reconcile creative budgets monthly and quarterly. Process a high volume of invoices within Uniport and ensure all invoices are UMG compliant. Provide Uniport training and support to Marketing staff as needed. Code and create overhead and marketing POs for third‐party vendors according to specific artist contract deals. Complete marketing project set‐ups in SAP.

Process same‐day and wire payment requests, including checking dollar amounts, documentation, approvals, and GL coding. Interface with label departments and vendors to resolve any discrepancies or invoice issues. Perform month‐end closing tasks, journal entries, audits and resolve budget discrepancies. Create and manage Excel reports summarizing budgets to assist Marketing departments with quarterly planning. Engage in day‐to‐day interactions with users across all UMG business units in the U.S. Other general administration duties as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Must be able to keep information confidential. Strong written, verbal communication and organizational skills. Ability to work within a diverse environment and build relationships across departments and at all levels. Strong work ethic in high‐pressure, demanding situations. Detail‐oriented with extremely accurate data entry skills. Demonstrated success with systems/data management. Ability to meet tight deadlines with conflicting priorities. Initiative and self‐motivation, requiring minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Some SAP experience and previous Accounts Payable exposure is a plus. 1–2 years in a fast‐paced, detail‐oriented environment.
