Location: New York, NY 10029
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour Day Shifts (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Guaranteed Hours: Based on facility needs
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound examinations, assist radiologists, and maintain ultrasound equipment. The role includes patient preparation, image capturing, and ensuring smooth workflow within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound exams following established procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for examinations
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
  • Capture and transfer images to PACS
  • Ensure equipment cleanliness and proper functioning
  • Maintain adequate supplies
  • Assist in training new staff
  • Schedule exams and handle basic administrative tasks
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Experience with VU Ultrasound system required
  • Experience in prostate sonography required
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Education & Certifications:
  • ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) required
  • ARRT preferred
  • BLS certification required
