Job description

Job TitleUltrasound Systems EngineerJob Description

The Ultrasound Systems Engineer will play a critical role in creating our next generation of ultrasound products that are helping to save lives all around the world.

Your role:

  • Will apply acoustic wave propagation and signal processing theory to the design and specification of new imaging algorithms and imaging sub-systems.
  • Coordinate the design, development, and integration of new ultrasound systems and transducers. Tune diagnostic ultrasound systems for optimum image quality on a range of transducers and imaging features
  • Lead the complete development and implementation of new ultrasound imaging capabilities, including development plans, algorithm design, integration strategy, and SW implementation.
  • Collaborate with Research, Marketing and Product Management organizations to define new feature requirements to meet specific clinical applications and market needs.
  • Develop and participate in medical ultrasound feasibility and research projects to support research and development

You're the right fit if:

  • You have a minimum of 1+ years of experience with signal/image processing, filter design and linear/nonlinear acoustic wave propagation
  • You have proven experience in Ultrasound imaging, beamforming, acquisition design, acoustic wave propagation theory, and clinical laboratory experience.
  • You're able to collaborate with cross functional team members, including Research, Marketing and Product Management.
  • You have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering. Master's desired.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Bothell, WA is $82,000 to $131,000.00

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
