Job description

This position will provide health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. The Ultrasonographer will perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in the following areas: OB/GYN, general, urological, and vascular. Will demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner; exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics; and apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Must be a graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited sonography program or equivalent. Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and 3-5 years of experience are preferred.
