Emish Market is a Ukrainian grocery store located in Fife, WA, offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. In addition to our market, we operate a full-service café, bakery, and meat department, preparing fresh Ukrainian dishes, pastries, and specialty meats daily. Our mission is to create a warm, authentic, and memorable experience for every guest.We are currently seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.What You'll DoGreet customers warmly and provide a welcoming shopping experienceOperate the cash register and process cash, card, and digital payments accuratelyScan products, weigh items, and ensure pricing is correctMaintain a clean and organized checkout areaAssist customers with questions about products and store servicesBag groceries carefully and efficientlyHelp restock shelves, coolers, and checkout displays as neededFollow company policies and procedures for cash handling and loss preventionCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operationsWork Schedule: Sun 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, Wed - Fri 3:30 pm - 12:30 amPay & Compensation: $18-20 per hour, depending on experience and qualificationsBenefits:We offer competitive employee benefits including paid sick leave (1 hour per 40 hours worked), partial employer-covered medical insurance (75% for full-time employees), and paid vacation: 1 week after 1 year of employment and 2 weeks after 2 years.Required QualificationsPrevious cashier or customer service experience preferredAvailability to work weekends is requiredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsBasic math skills and attention to detailAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environmentAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbsReliability, punctuality, and a positive attitudeKnowledge of Ukrainian or Eastern European products is a plus
