Job description

Title: Payroll Analyst
Location: Dallas, Texas
Duration: (6-12 months)
Compensation: $37.00 - 41.00 per hour
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skillset / Experience:
INSPYR Solutions is working with a client seeking a Payroll Analyst to work out of our headquarters in Dallas, TX. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Payroll, this role will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll, manages payroll records, and maintains compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This position will analyze payroll data, resolve discrepancies, payroll taxes, system testing and accounting reconciliations. The company has businesses with leading positions in construction products, engineered structures, and transportation markets with annual revenues in excess of $2B.
Responsibilities:
  • Complete account reconciliations and monthly payroll journal entries
  • Prepare and review monthly multiple worksite reports required by states
  • Create ad-hoc and routine payroll tax reports
  • Monitor and administer controls to ensure that tax information for all employees is set up correctly in the payroll system
  • Perform updates to payroll tax-related information and data
  • Tax Filing experience with Mergers/Acquisitions and Multi-State Tax Filings.
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll tax from employees and management
  • Assist with payroll processing as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned by management. Perform updates to payroll tax-related information and data
  • Analyze and verify payroll reports and documents for accuracy while making necessary corrections through UKG and Kronos
  • Process payroll using UKG/Kronos for multiple companies
  • Research and resolve payroll inquiries
  • Process manual checks as needed
  • Respond to any employee questions about deductions, calculations of paycheck, and changes in compensation
  • Keep relevant personal information confidential
  • Use UKG to process accurate and timely payroll checks
  • Responsible for making sure communication is clear for management and employees involved
  • Responsible for internal audit information for payroll
  • Testing new payroll information for implementations and new codes
  • Additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years Payroll Tax Related Experience
  • 5+ years, Federal, multi-State, and local payroll tax experience
  • Experience with weekly, bi-weekly, hourly, and salaried payrolls, including pay and tax calculations.
  • Knowledge of taxable and non-taxable payments and deductions
  • Requires Accounting experience in reconciliation and payroll knowledge
  • Must be familiar with multi-state tax regulations and tax reporting.
  • Five plus years' payroll and accounting experience required
  • Self-directed and detailed oriented individual with strong organizational skills required
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Good customer service skills and patience
  • Substantial experience in automated/payroll systems required; experience with UKG preferred
  • Strong MS Excel skills required
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with all levels of organization
