What is a UI intern?

UI Interns are entry-level professionals who support the design and development of user interfaces for websites, apps, or software. They work under the guidance of experienced UI designers to create visually appealing, user-friendly layouts and elements. Their tasks may include creating wireframes, designing mockups, assisting with user research, and collaborating with development teams to implement interface designs. UI Internships are a great way for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience and build a portfolio in the field of user interface design.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a UI intern?

To thrive as a UI Intern, you need a basic understanding of user interface design principles, familiarity with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD, and coursework or a degree related to design, computer science, or a similar field. Experience with prototyping software, design systems, and version control tools such as Git is often expected.
