Description:

Centennial Technologies is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support the testing, validation, and quality assurance of enterprise applications for federal government customers. This role serves as a senior testing professional responsible for ensuring software quality throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), leading test planning activities, validating complex business and technical requirements, and supporting the successful delivery of secure, high-quality enterprise solutions.

Requirements:
  • Lead test planning, test design, and test execution activities for enterprise software applications.
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.
  • Perform manual and automated testing of web applications, APIs, cloud-native applications, and database-driven systems.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance, and smoke testing activities.
  • Validate software functionality, business processes, and system integrations to ensure application quality.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution using defect management tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to reproduce issues and verify defect fixes.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard test automation frameworks.
  • Support API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar technologies.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure testing activities align with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance best practices.
  • Perform data validation and backend database testing to verify data integrity and business rules.
  • Support performance, security, and accessibility testing efforts in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Produce test summary reports, quality metrics, and testing documentation for stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and promote testing best practices across development teams.
  • Support release validation, production deployments, and post-deployment verification activities.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting software quality assurance and application testing.
  • Strong experience developing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation.
  • Hands-on experience performing: Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Smoke and Sanity Testing
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, UFT, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or similar tools.
  • Experience using defect management and work management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or ServiceNow.
  • Experience validating enterprise web applications, cloud applications, APIs, and database-driven systems.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
