GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Research Coordinator serves as a member of the research team at Utah Cancer Specialist (UCS) Oncology Research Program. The incumbent recruits’ patients to UCS’s approved protocols, will adhere to SOPs, GCP, ICH, HIPAA, NIH, FDA regulations. The Research Coordinator duties will include but not be limited to recruitment, consent, data entry, record management, lab processing, screening. The incumbent will be required to interact with all departments within UCS and outside entities and exhibit behavior consistent with our UCS mission statement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well independently as well as with co-workers, peers, supervisors and physicians. Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously with precision and adapt to changes in responsibilities and workloads. Must be professional, possess a high degree of urgency and self-motivation, and have a strong work ethic. Applicant must have experience using basic computer programs including word processing, database, spreadsheet applications and e-mail. Knowledge of electronic data capture vendors, IWRS, imaging transfer programs are preferred. Requires excellent skills in medical terminology. Previous experience with lab processing and handling preferred.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: High School or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in a health-related science field preferred however; will consider years of equivalent research experience. Prior research experience required, preferable in oncology. Previous healthcare experience preferred. Competitive salary based on experience.
