Job description

Position Overview
MetroSys is seeking a highly experienced Cisco UCS Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise compute and data center infrastructure solutions. This is a client-facing, architect-level role responsible for designing scalable, resilient UCS-based platforms and supporting modernization initiatives across diverse environments.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with deep expertise in Cisco UCS, data center design, and virtualization platforms, capable of translating business requirements into robust technical solutions while guiding delivery teams through implementation.Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor for Cisco UCS and compute infrastructure engagements
  • Lead architecture design, discovery sessions, and technical workshops with clients
  • Design and deliver solutions across:
    • Cisco UCS (B-Series, C-Series, X-Series)
    • UCS Manager / Intersight
    • Fabric Interconnects and unified networking
  • Develop target-state architectures, migration strategies, and infrastructure roadmaps
  • Lead data center modernization initiatives, including:
    • Legacy server and compute refresh
    • Virtualization platform integration (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
    • Converged and hyperconverged infrastructure alignment
  • Define and implement high availability, scalability, and performance optimization strategies
  • Provide oversight during deployment, configuration, and migration activities
  • Act as escalation point for complex compute, networking, and integration issues
  • Support pre-sales efforts, including solution design, SOW development, and client presentations
  • Produce high-quality architecture documentation, diagrams, and implementation guidance
Required Qualifications
  • 8-12+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, compute architecture, or consulting roles
  • Deep expertise with:
    • Cisco UCS (B-Series, C-Series, X-Series)
    • UCS Manager and/or Cisco Intersight
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Data center networking concepts (VLANs, vNICs, fabric interconnects)
    • Virtualization platforms (VMware preferred)
    • Compute, storage, and infrastructure integration
  • Experience leading enterprise infrastructure design and migration projects
  • Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Intersight Cloud Operations Platform
  • Knowledge of hyperconverged and composable infrastructure models
  • Familiarity with automation (PowerShell, Python, APIs)
  • Experience integrating with storage platforms (NetApp, Dell, Pure, etc.)
  • Cisco certifications (CCNP/CCIE Data Center)
  • Background in professional services or consulting organizations
