Summary/Objective
Maintenance Worker reports to Maintenance Supervisor and assists in the physical upkeep of the College.
Essential Functions
  • This Tech position will have a focus on vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Proper use of equipment and facilities when necessary.
  • Understand and adhere to governmental regulatory programs and policies. These may include but are not limited to: National Electrical Code, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Uniform Building Code (UBC) and local government environmental agency policies.
  • Understand and interpret technical documents and diagrams which include but are not limited to: equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, Single Line Electrical Drawings, mechanical and electrical equipment schematics.
  • Inspect equipment before use and report unsafe conditions.
  • This position is responsible for the care, maintenance, and repairs of all properties.
  • Event set up and take down.
  • Moving furniture and other items.
  • Utilizes proper PPE for given duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assist other Facilities Service teams as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory requirements.
Work Environment
Strenuous physical activity. Facilities workers are required to move around campus properties and work with equipment. Outside work is required during all types of weather conditions. Facilities workers must use proper protective clothing as needed.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • On-call work is required.

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or 4 Years experience in field of focus.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
