Job title: Assistant Program Manager
Reports to: Program Manager and/or C.O.O
FLSA: Full Time
Pay Rate: Minimum $19.00 hourly to Maximum $21.00 hourly
Position Overview
Serenity Mesa Recovery Center is an adolescent sober living and recovery center in Albuquerque, NM, under the ownership and direction of Healing Addiction in our Community (HAC), a New Mexico non-profit corporation. Residents enter this program after completing drug rehabilitation and/or detoxification, for the purpose of ongoing recovery and transitional services.
The Assistant Program Manager’s primary job responsibilities are to develop and maintain a positive, healthy relationship with the residents and to ensure the overall safety and security of the residents, lodge staff and Serenity Mesa property by following established policies and procedures. This position manages and provides direction to all Behavioral Health Technician.
Essential Job Functions
  • Manage and supervise all Behavioral Health Technicians to include, but not limited to, supervisory issues such as job coaching/modeling behaviors for staff, review of payroll timesheets, and BHT training
  • Managing resident/lodge calendars in Outlook
  • Supervise the operations of the lodge to ensure policies and procedures are being followed by both lodge staff (BHTs) and program residents
  • Manage room searches and UA schedules.
  • Conduct room searches, UAs, and person searches as needed
  • Ensure shift notes are completed by BHTs
  • Assist residents in preparing pass requests and submitting pass requests to the appropriate clinical staff
  • Provide security for SM property utilizing established security procedures
  • Transport residents to work, school, and other off-site activities
  • Provide weekend recreational and community service activities for residents both on-and off-site
  • Coordinate and assist in facilitating Family Days on Sunday
  • Cover shifts for non-clinical staff as needed
  • Attend weekly management meetings
Essential/Preferred Requirements (Education, Licensing, Experience)
  • Highest education level: high School diploma but prefer a college degree, preferably in social work.
  • Minimum one (1) year working with at-risk populations, preferably adolescents and young adults is essential.
  • One (1) year experience managing a transitional living, group home, or similar environment is preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/ English) preferred.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and all background checks is essential.
  • Ability to pass motor vehicle record check is essential.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English communication is essential.
  • Must be 21 years of age
Essential Physical Abilities
  • Stand for extended periods of time; push, pull and reach; occasionally bend, stand, stoop and stretch
  • Have full range of body motion
  • Have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports; specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds (This weight requirement may be adjusted based on something that the person would normally be expected to do)

Work Environment
The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled residential facility. The position may occasionally cause exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids and other conditions common to a residential environment.
