Raytheon's Field Engineering team is looking for Field Technician(s) to join our field MFRFS Radar / Coyote UAS program team. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Multi-Function RF System (MFRFS) radar and/or the Coyote UAS weapon platform. This role serves as the technical subject matter expert, providing guidance, maintenance support, and operational assistance in deployed environments.
  • The role will be Onsite based in McKinney, TX, when not on deployment.
  • Extensive travel will be required; up to 100% to include Iraq and other international destinations.

Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignments including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.
What You Will Do
  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and technical support of the MFRFS radar systems and/or the Coyote UAS weapon platform.
  • Serve as the technical expert, responding to all operational and maintenance-related questions.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to U.S. Army soldiers for emplacement, tactical operation, preventive maintenance, and march-order tasks.
  • Conduct inventory control and maintain accountability for field-level replaceable spare parts.
  • Document all maintenance-related actions accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Align priorities appropriately and balance mission requirements with necessary administrative tasks.
  • Perform duties in austere environments including Forward Operating Bases and remote locations.
  • Support all designated locations on a rotational basis, averaging 4-5 months per rotation.

Special Work Conditions
  • Able to deploy to remote international locations with little notification.
  • Able to deploy to environments that may include harsh living conditions (extreme heat and cold, deployed living conditions, etc.) and/or hostile work environment.
  • Able to move and/or lift weights such as test equipment, ladders, tools, and cable reels weighing up to 60 pounds using proper lifting techniques or material moving equipment.
  • Able to live and work in the Middle East desert with temperatures above 120 degrees F.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 2+ years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 1+ years' experience.
  • Experience performing depot-level maintenance on electronic systems or radar equipment.
  • Proven ability to formulate, document, and brief technical reports on both Radar and Coyote UAS systems.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and technical bulletins.
  • Hands-on experience executing technical procedures and accurately documenting system maintenance and troubleshooting actions.
  • Familiarity with the tools, resources, and test equipment commonly used for electronic installation, maintenance, and testing.
  • Solid comprehension of basic radar theory.
  • Active and transferable US government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Military experience; completion of a U.S. military radar or sensor technical school (e.g., MOS 94M, 14E).
  • Ability to operate manual-transmission vehicles.
  • COLTS Logistics Database familiarity or certification.
  • Experience with CRC processing.
  • Hands-on experience with Sentinel, KuRFS, Q36/Q37, or LCMR radar systems.
  • Background in radar/sensor operations and maintenance.
  • Experience with tactical HVAC systems.
  • UAS assembly, disassembly, repair, or maintenance/pilot experience.
  • Familiarity with 1.4 explosives, gas generators, and munitions handling/loading.
  • Prior deployment experience in a combat environment.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of military protocols.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
