Job Title: Psychiatric Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Psychiatric Medical Billing Specialist to manage the full spectrum of billing and revenue cycle operations for our mental health practice. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of behavioral health billing, including insurance claims processing, payment posting, denial resolution, and provider credentialing. This role is critical to ensuring accurate reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and optimal financial performance. All applicants must agree to a background check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payment Posting
  • Unpaid Claims Processing
  • Electronic Claims Submission Validation (Manual & Batch)
  • Physician Credentialing / Periodic Credential Updating 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health billing.
  • Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS), or similar credential.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer behavioral health policies.
