Job description

Seeking Psychiatric Hospitalist for Huntsville Hospital

BC/BE Psychiatrist needed to join team for inpatient hospital coverage to include ED and medical floor consults and follow ups, with average of 15 patients per day, per provider. Coverage of pediatric Women & Children Hospital. Monday through Friday position, with call requirements of weekend call 1:5 and weekday call of 2-3 days per month. Huntsville Hospital's Behavioral Health unit has a total of 35 beds, with 12 being geriatric beds. Must be willing to work with psychiatry residents. Teaching opportunities are also available with UAB medical students, Family Medicine residents and Internal Medicine residents.

Huntsville Hospital is a 971-bed hospital that serves as the regional referral center for north Alabama and southern Tennessee. Our Emergency Departments consist of 80+ beds and treat approximately 160,000 patients per year. The hospital has 24/7 Radiology, Cardiology, Trauma, Orthopedic and Neurosurgical coverage. The hospital also has dedicated Adult, Cardiovascular, Neurological, Surgical/Trauma and Pediatric ICUs, and a Level I Trauma Center.
