Job description

The following position is for employment with:
Oral Surgery Associates & Dental Implant Centers
10930 Crabapple Rd Suite 160, Roswell, GA 30075
As an Oral Surgery Technician, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care while supporting our surgeons throughout consultations and surgical procedures.
Please Note: Previous oral surgery/dental assisting experience is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment for procedures.
  • Assist the surgeon during oral surgery procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and patient support.
  • Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and treatment information accurately.
  • Deliver exceptional pre-operative and post-operative patient education and instructions.
  • Coordinate medical clearances and ensure all required documentation is complete.
  • Capture high-quality dental radiographs while following all radiation safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record system.
  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain OSHA, infection control, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Provide a welcoming, compassionate, and professional experience for every patient.
  • Collaborate closely with providers and teammates to ensure efficient daily operations.

Additionally, occasional lifting and carrying boxes, supplies up to 25 pounds may be required. Furthermore, close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) is required.

Required Qualifications
  • Previous oral surgery or dental assisting experience is required.
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Comfortable learning new technology and electronic health record systems.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive, patient-first attitude.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assisting or Dental Assistant Certification.
  • Experience monitoring patients during IV sedation procedures.
  • Dental radiology certification (where applicable).
Health & Safety Requirements
  • Current Hepatitis B vaccination and titer.
  • Current TB screening/clearance.
  • Compliance with OSHA and infection control standards.
