Cardinal Technology Systems Corp. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Junior Software Engineer to work for our company.

Summary
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Client Agency is Customs & Border Protection
  • Serves carries out basic work to support the transformation of overall requirements and architecture to a complete design.
  • Assists in assuring consistency of overall effort.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under only general direction.
  • Translates detailed design into computer software.
  • Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product.
  • Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
  • Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
  • Follows reliability and maintainability guidance and policy to minimize life cycle costs of finished products.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with databases, internet technologies, web applications, and e-business systems and interfaces
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferences
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java
