Utility Worker
Position # U-J-2
The Utility Worker performs cleaning and custodial tasks on the district's buildings and grounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The Utility Worker position requires the ability to:
โ€ข Perform a variety of tasks associated with cleaning and upkeep of equipment, classrooms, offices, building, and grounds
โ€ข Safely operate tools and equipment commonly used in custodial work
โ€ข Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
โ€ข Comply with schedules and meet deadlines
Utility Worker must also:
โ€ข Possess a California Driver's License
โ€ข Pass required background checks and clearance
Salary per 2026-2027 Classified Salary Schedule Range 170
$19.38 - $25.43
Work year will follow School District calendar
Monday - Fridays 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm*

Safely operate tools and equipment commonly used in custodial work
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Comply with schedules and meet deadlines
Pass required background checks and clearance
Certifications:
California Driver's License
Current First Aid and CPR certification
DUTIES
Sweep, scrub, mop, vacuum, shampoo or wax floors and carpets
Refill paper towels & soap dispensers
Dust and polish furniture, wood and metal work
Clean and disinfect restroom walls, doors, mirrors, and fixtures
Empty trash and recycling
Clean blinds, windows, chalk/white boards
Pick up debris and water shrubs
Participate in staff development as required
Complete basic work orders, such as changing lights
