Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading and directing the Tyson Transportation fleet to achieve business and financial objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Driver management.
  • On time service management.
  • Asset utilization.
  • Driver safety and compliance.
  • Load assignment and selection.
  • Trailer pool plan execution.
  • Driver expense management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

1st Shift: Monday - Friday (7:00 AM -5:00PM).

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor s degree preferred.

Experience: 3 plus years Tyson transportation experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office is a plus; Tyson Business Computer Systems to include Sale Inventory SAP Transportation and Warehousing Systems. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Supervisory: This position acts as a team leader providing functional supervision for other members of the work unit such as assigning work and training lower-level positions. Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year
