Job description

Job Details:

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Refrigeration Mechanic position could work in any area of the plant, Processing or Slaughter.

  • Duties could include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching; climbing up and down stairs and ladders.

  • Lifting is required in many areas (up to 70 pounds).

  • Successful completion of a respiratory physical will be necessary.

  • These positions work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment.

  • Proficiency in reading and writing, ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.

Pay is commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Requirements:3 months Refrigeration experience or 6 months Maintenance experience. (must be listed on application/resume)
