Job description

Summary

Seeking an experienced Commercial Title Examiner / Typist. This position is responsible for supporting our Title Department. Support consists of order entry, generating form documents, delivering commitment packages to clients, performing title update searches online, and communicating with the closing team, vendors, and county offices as necessary. Qualified candidates will have direct experience working for a real estate title company or an Underwriter. The ability to understand closing packages, real estate contracts, and apprehend closing instructions is a requirement. National title experience is strongly desired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews the search package from the abstractor to prepare necessary requirements and exceptions
  • Reviewing / examining title search to prepare the title commitment
  • Issuing documents in accordance with departmental rules, legal or statutory requirements
  • Preparing closing protection letters
  • Preparing tax certifications and 24 months chains of title
  • Preparing fee estimate to include settlement and title fees and other related real estate documents
  • Manage multiple tasks, fast paced environment.

SKILLS

  • Minimum 45 wpm typing speed required (typing test may be administered)
  • Communicates professionally with all customers.
